Chemetall to Introduce New Phosphorus-free
Gardobond® X 4548 Advanced Pretreatment at
FABTECH 2017

The surface treatment global business unit of BASF's Coatings division operating under the Chemetall brand will exhibit at FABTECH 2017 on November 6–9, at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL. Please stop by BOOTH-A6467 to see what's new in surface treatment, fabrication and finishing technologies.

Chemetall's team of technical experts is excited to attend FABTECH 2017 and share their knowledge and expertise on new advanced pretreatment products that further enhance the "Cut It. Clean It. Coat It. Control It. Conserve It.®" product portfolio. To emphasize Chemetall's commitment to advanced surface treatment technologies Gardobond® X 4548 will be introduced. This simple-to-use pretreatment can be used with multiple substrates and is compatible with mild steel equipment and tap water. Gardobond X 4548, both phosphorus-free and regulated heavy metal free meets most phosphorous discharge regulations; it is simple and cost effective to use.

In addition to Gardobond X 4548, Chemetall will also introduce a new iron phosphate: Gardobond A 4002. This new robust product is formulated using the latest advanced detergent technology. Gardobond A 4002's wide operating range makes it easy to use and control.

Suresh Patel, Director, Chemetall Mexicana will present on Wednesday, November 8 at 8:45 AM CDT. "9 Must-know Advantages to Zr-based Advanced Pretreatment" the presentation will cover best practices, practical transition steps to advanced pretreatment application in 3 and 5 stage washer systems.

Kirk Beaster, Industry Manager, Chemetall North America, will lead the "Mastering a Batch Finishing Operation" session on Wednesday, November 8 from 8:00–10:00 AM CDT. His presentation will cover "Best Practices for Manual Pretreatment Application".

Bob Bodak, Director — Process Equipment & Engineering, will share his expertise on "Process Control for the Cleaning and Prepaint Industries". This segment will be part of the new "Fundamentals of Pretreatment" session scheduled for Tuesday, November 7 from 8:00–10:00 AM.
